DESTINATION DAKAR DEBRIEF

Three out three back for KOVE rally 450 at Destination Dakar rally .

Proving that the 450 Rally can take a hacking Gary (450 Rally Pro), Leigh (450 Rally Pro) and Nick (450 Rally Standard) took three untouched bikes to Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal through much of the original Paris Dakar route to the Lac Rose at Dakar. Throughout the 5800km, 13 day odyssey the bikes were subjected to the harshest of terrain - sand, sand and more sand followed by rocks, rocks and more rocks. Flat out pistes for hours per day. The ponies were not spared particularly so in the very soft sand canyons where the motors were on the limit for hours at a time.

A new air filter every day, 2 oil changes was the only maintenance carried out. Nothing broke (outside crash damage), loosened or fell off throughout the rally. Impressive with sweet sounding engines at the end.
